Whole Hog Value Add
Collaborative product design walks a fine line between proven design approaches and exploring new avenues. Changing manufacturing methods, adopting new technologies or adjusting for customer-driven inputs are among the many distractions that can cause schedules to slip and increase product development costs.
Whole Hog has a Value Add process in place to identify design aspects that could be adjusted in future development efforts. Improvements can be applied to any part of the development process and can be submitted by any individual involved, whether from Whole Hog or our clients.
Reviewing Value Add items after a successful project completion effort allows the management team to conduct cost-benefit analysis away from the schedule constraints of a product launch. Adjustments to the design process can be applied in future project scopes or incorporated into existing products under a separate ECO effort.
